I was born in lee road, before they tore it down back in the seventies, then we moved to middle wood street , both had old cobbled stones on the roads , and we lived close to harperhey and middleton and langley , Which was an up and comeing brand new easte which was to cover most of the new overspills of married couples back then like the yuppies of the midnighties and so on..
Now it has been changed slight new condominums and also new housing so i have been told and also the are i lived on has also shut some of the old pubs that were on the easte and have changed some of the oild two storybedrooms to one leaveld floor housing now ... St' Marys Church up the road and St'Marys Infant ,Primary, &Juniour Schools are still there, and langley and durnford scools are still there, the high school Bishop Marshall was closed down in 1980 just recently after i left school, the moved the children and teachers to Rochdale road school all boys school whichj ours was named after, Cardinal Langley High School, I also befor emoveing from harperhey went to Mount Carmel infant school and Primary school for short while before 1969 when out home caught on fire and we had to move to two childrens homes for a year we lived with a aldy called Mrs Marsden, and then went to Elishouse childrens home, which was great by 1970 dad had found us all new hosue to move in to and we lived there till we all grew up and moved out in the eighties, my brother lived with a friend and his family for while, my other brother did same thing but near to the seaside, and my sister well she left well before any of us, i moved out putting my self in care before i turned 14, i was in care in childrens home called Rosebank childrens home for a bout a year then had to move out to move in with mr and mrs walker, they both run the house like boarding house which taught me to managed my money well (ie) paying rent around 25 pounds for the week and buying my own food , i woudl give her extra so i would have money for personal things , she was first person to teach me to be my self, back then life was pretty good, but after about year living with her and her husband i moved out to live with my sister in Leeds North Yorkshire, for while things were fine, she had two of the most beautie full little girls i had ever seen , the girls have grown up to be wonderfull beautieful articulate ladies one is also a model and singer and also actress and has run a health fitness place with a friend and well acomplished young lady that has been around the world on trips to places like american, and india and many other places, her other daughter has worked for alawyers firm and done so much in her life an dis now also now takeing time to bring her young son up, her son is also working and has alittle boy and one on the way, he other daughter has three wee boys and is acomplished in what she does...
I my self had had been through so many things in my life time, i have worked with disbaled children and also adults, i have cleaned house for disbaled poeple and done their shopping for them and collected medications for them when family couldn't get there for them at the chemist because of different situtations, also worked in hotels cleaning and stacked shelves in asda, and also worked in old aged poeples residences as well, i also have been on trips with a group when i first start youth oppertunities , i worked for while as a hairdress only thing i didn't do there in that job ws cutting hair, i then turned to wanting to learn painting and decorating, and also machinst which all three came in handy as i did all of these jobs once i had left the youth oppertunities group work force from 16 till i was eighteen i work there,...
I also by the time i was 19 working, also went out to disco's , enjoyed them for while but eventually stopped going for while till i lived with my sister then i met moreens daughter lisa beautieful tall short dark haird blue eyed girl, she got the fun back in my life, we learnt from each other how to dress and wear makeup i taught her to wear make up she helped me learn to dress nicely to go out to work in and to socilise in as well, and we use to go to what was then the big in thing back in the uk the fantastic CB/RADIO, Yes folks the wonderufl world of cb.radio had come to england via the american truckers and it was great for while we would go to the cb/clubs at the pubs, and also go out to gether just to injoy the nights out and dance a while for getting what had happend through the day.
Life was wonderfull when your that age but befor ei turned 19 , i met my first husband,, if i know what would happen back then i guess wouldnt married till i met some else but we all make mistakes not saying any of my four children are a mistake ther enot for one instant there all my world ,,, any cut short storie down we did divorce back in 1990, then i met some one else and that didnt; work out but did have child by him a girl ,, and then some one else come long later had we boy then that relashionship ended and i stayed on my own after i lost my little girl , after thirteen years went by ....
